A friend sent me this very interesting article, so I'm going to share it here:


Panayotis A. Skordos, Modeling flue pipes: subsonic flow, lattice Boltzmann, and parallel distributed computers


It talks about labial flutes, such as recorders. It doesn't mention ocarinas specifically, but almost everything is applicable. It is a fairly technical article, so some understanding of physics is necessary.
