Forum rules

In order to give ocarina makers a chance to edit their own information and add news and updates in the opening post of a thread dedicated to their business we ask you to follow the following rule:

If you are making a thread about another ocarina brand, only post factual information in the opening post. If that ocarina brand has a representative on Little Geese: The Ocarina Forum, it would be best to let them create a topic for themselves. Otherwise, if you want to post your opinion or a review, you can create a new post directly after making the first post to do so. Keep in mind that the first post of any thread in this subforum may be completely deleted to be used by the ocarina brand representative that is being discussed in the thread.

If you are an ocarina maker or a representative of an ocarina brand and wish to have a topic dedicated to your business, feel free to start your own, unless it already exists, in which case, please contact the user Bas or send an e-mail to , so that we can arrange it so that you can have the opening post.

Is there any kind of price range that you've worked out yet? Or have you not thought that far ahead? I've been wanting a new AC sense my DT broke this summer and I've been wanting something under the $100 range, which is hard in the Ocarina community as you can guess.

At the festival, I remember the price was 80 euro for alto C. I think it was a very fair price for such a great ocarina. Of course, that may or may not change in the future.

Hi Jade,

I just saw your engraved ocarina. Great work.
How do you get the lines clean?
What tool do you use?
Could you post a Picture of the tool you use?

Aww thanks Christoph, that's made my day, and it's great to hear from you again! I'm just about to head off to work but I can pm pictures of the tools to you when I get home this evening. Hope you're well and I look forward to meeting you again in future :)

Ocarinas are now available for sale via eBay. C3s (Alto C) and some stoneware minis are for sale at http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/kalasinar. I'm also working on a C1 model which should be available by the end of the year as well.

Oh and i also had to make the switch from stoneware to earthenware clay for various reasons, so of course this means i won't be using my stoneware glazes anymore either (except for non-ocarina related ceramics). Despite the fact i was sad to say goodbye to those finishes, results have been instant with the earthenware and increasingly successful. I'm sorry to disappoint those who were fond of my stoneware finishes, but I could never compromise on function and playability for the sake of aesthetics. I want to make the best playing ocarinas I possibly can :)

I realised i should have made an update on here far sooner, but working my job, making ocarinas and general life things have kept me very busy for a long time. And i've been doing a lot of travelling with friends over the summer months. Life has been so hectic, i apologise for my absence. Thanks so much to everyone who has supported me and encouraged me over the years. It feels great to finally be at this point where i am satisfied enough to sell my work, but i seriously couldn't have done it without your kindness ^^

As always Jade, your work is stunning! Master of glazes in my opinion :D Glad things are going so well and ocarina production is shooting off!

Thanks so much Spirit! It is a great relief, to say the least, to finally have my work out there. Four years of development has been trying at times, but it has all been very worth it, and a dream realised. I hope your work is also coming along well mate, last i saw your work was looking really great!

Well, the C1 model is finally completed! It wasn't my intent to start on a Soprano C model so soon, but there's just something about them that i adore, so i just had to jump in and make them ^^

I've added more stock to my eBay, a relatively small batch for now as the rest of them i'm keeping aside ready for Budrio. Starting on a new batch though as i type :D
